A word from our CEO Tom…
If you’ve got this far, I’m hoping you want to become part of our team. I’ve been CEO at Brakspear since 2010, and this is an exciting time for you to get involved.
The managed division are pubs that Brakspear run ourselves. We are at a very early and exciting stage and we’re hoping to have twenty pubs in the near future, so expansion is key. We can only do this with great people on board, and you should be a part of it.
This new part of our business has a fresh, innovative and progressive approach and we’re aiming for the top. We want to make sure our pubs are the best they can be, places people want to go to and have a good time.
We want people who are like-minded, professional and fun to work with. You’ll be part of a large team which means you have to be passionate, enthusiastic and proactive to really enjoy working with us.
Because we’re expanding, there’s always lots of opportunity to progress your career. We want ambitious individuals who are eager and always focused on the guest. Plenty of training is on offer to improve your knowledge and skills to help you succeed, and gain promotion within the pubs.
In return we offer:
- competitive rates of pay
– a range of on-the-job training including ALPH personal licence and level 3 Food Safety
– industry recognised qualifications, such as Cask Marque’s cellar management course, and intermediate WSET Wine and Spirits Education Trust
- living accommodation maybe available with some pubs too, especially for those working full time
- 70% off meals whilst on duty
- 28 days holiday
- 50% off food for you and up to 3 guests across our 12 sites
- 50% off hotel rooms within our seven sites with rooms
- workplace pension
The Brakspear managed division was launched in 2013. That’s not to say we’re new pubs, we have 125 pubs in our leased and tenanted estate. Brakspear began life brewing beer in Henley on Thames back in 1711. In fact, we’re proud to say we’re the oldest family-run company in the whole of Oxfordshire, and our HQ still remains in Henley today. You can find out more about our history at www.brakspear.co.uk
In the not too distant future, we want to be collecting national awards for our managed division. not because we have a big trophy cabinet, but just to have it recognised that we have great pubs.
If you like what you’ve read, then get in touch. Amanda is always keen to hear from you, by phone, email or even carrier pigeon.
