Chef de Partie

Reporting to the Sous Chef & Head Chef

The role involves:

  • The running of your set section
  • Committed to producing quality food
  • Help to develop and train the junior chefs
  • Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen
  • Completing tasks assigned to you by Sous & Head Chef
  • A full understanding of Stock rotation and ordering for your section
  • Adhering to Company Health & Hygiene policies

Being the right person is the most important qualification, here are some other ones we look for

Qualifications

Preferably a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Cooking

Food Hygiene level 2 or above

Skill set

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Identify ways to improve profitability
  • Demonstrate an up to date and in depth understanding of cooking, trends & methods
  • Continually strive to achieve goals & objectives
  • Lead by example and offer clear direction to Junior chef
  • Be uncompromising in achieving company standards

 

Previous jobs

  • Having held a similar role elsewhere within a similar establishment
  • Minimum of 3 years cooking experience
  • Stability and honesty
